Nobody’s Perfect

I have a 16-year-old son, and just like any parent who cares about a child’s future it is hard for me to imagine that a child I love could end up using drugs. God forbid, I hope and pray that my son will not be put in a situation of “should I, or shouldn’t I?” take the drugs.

Adolescence is a time for trying new things. Teenagers use drugs for many reasons and that includes curiosity and peer pressure. Some like it because it feels good and it relieves their stress. It is difficult to know which teens will experiment and stop and which will develop serious problems. It is understandable that most of the victims lack judgment. They often do not see the link between their actions today and the consequences tomorrow.

If you think you have someone in the family who may have a drug addiction problem, do not panic. It is a common knowledge that drug dependence is treatable. Getting help from drug treatment center like Stone Hawk Rehabilitation would be the best thing to do. There is no shame in asking for help for a drug rehab because ultimately it is going to allow the dependent to lead a better and happier life.

Give life another chance. This world is not a perfect place and we are not all meant to be perfect. People do care and people do really want to help, just have to want it and accept that sometimes we need help.
