Home Security

Secure your home and your family with the following safety measures:

(1.) Keep doors and windows locked and shut at night.
(2.) Keep all cell phones charged especially at night. Keep the cell phone in the bedroom with you. An intruder might disable your house phones, making it impossible for you to call for help.
(3.) Keep an easy access emergency numbers in your cell phone or posted next to your land line phone.

(4.) Leave a light on at night in a room. This will give the impression that someone is still up and awake.
(5.) Pull or draw the curtains. Do not let people outside see straight into your house.
(6.) Keep the area outside your house well lit.
(7.) Always keep flashlights handy (with working batteries).
(8.) Never trust a good neighborhood too much. Good thieves, molesters, rapists, killers, and similar criminals are always on the lookout for easy targets. No neighborhood is completely safe.
(9.) Dogs are excellent companion and brilliant security guard. Get one or two.
(10.) If you are living in a condominium, never answer your door unless you know who is on the other side. Spend in a peephole and chain guard.
(11.) Invest and install a reliable home security system. Visit this site for more details.
