Kevin’s Basket

“Pharaoh’s daughter came down to the river to bathe, while her maids walked along the river bank. Noticing the basket among the reeds, she sent her handmaid to fetch it. On opening it, she looked, and lo, there was a baby boy …!” — Exodus 2:5-6 [Adoption of Moses]

The above bible verse reminds me the kind of baby bassinet that I bought to my child 17 years ago, the more known Moses basket. My first-born child Kevin had this kind of furniture during his first four months as a baby. I preferred to buy him this bed because among the many variety of baby bassinet, Moses basket type is the lightest and easiest to carry. So handy that I can move it room to room. At nighttime, I can just easily place Kevin’s baby bassinet right next to my bed and it had given me the sense of security that Kevin sleep better in that small but cozy, safe and secure baby bed. I wish I could post the actual photo of Kevin’s blue basket but I can no longer take it off from his baby album.

Well, it looks close to this:
