Potty Training

February 25th, 2008

potty-training.jpgMotherhood is indeed a very fulfilling job. But nobody said it is going to be easy. As a mom of two children, the experience of giving potty training to my kids is one of the toughest if not the most challenging task that I have to undergo as a mother. Believe me, it’s not easy for I have to deal a lot of my child’s mind games over potty training.

I can share two tips for potty training boys or girls. First wait for your child until he/she reaches the right age when he/she can say, “poo poo” “wee-wee” or some similar sounding term. Keep in mind that the child does not have to be extremely clear in saying “poo poo” or “wee-wee“. You just need to be able to understand them.

The second tip is to assess whether your child can already pull down his/her pants or underwear with little assistance. If he/she can do that then you are in the right track to start giving the potty training.
