Some women think that having facial treatment is pampering, and just a luxury. Well, just like hair cuts, manicures, pedicures, body massage, foot spa, a regular facial should be part of a regular skin-care regimen, along with a good home skin-care routine.
Here’s what women should be doing as everyday habit to keep skin healthy and beautiful:
* Good nutrition. Eat a healthy diet with lots of fruits, vegetables and leafy green.
* Drink plenty of water every day. Drink at least eight glasses of water a day to keep your body hydrated.
* Get a professional facial to deep cleanse your skin at least four times a year. Every four to six weeks is ideal.
* Clean, exfoliate and moisturize your skin regularly.
* Throw away the soap and use quality all natural skincare products that are right for your skin type.
* Wear sunscreen even on cloudy days. Use a good-quality, high-SPF sunscreen. Sun damage causes premature aging.
* Remember to put sunscreen on exposed areas like the back of your hands, neck and chest. They’re usually the first place to show your age.
* Cut out skin-damaging habits like smoking, excessive drinking and tanning.
* Get plenty of sleep.
