Moving Boxes To Philippines

I’m an ex-OFW to Dubai and I am aware that Philippines is among the short list of countries that airlines allow 70 lbs per luggage while the rest of the world, including America is only allowed 50 lbs! Why? It’s because airlines knows that Filipinos simply love their boxes. Filipinos around the world makes it a point to share the fruits of their labor overseas to their love ones in the Philippines, and thus, the “Balikbayan Box” existed.

A balikbayan box (literally returnee’s box) is a cardboard box containing novelty items brought by or sent by a Filipino who is returning to the Philippines from a foreign country. These boxes contain non-perishable food items, canned goods, other food items, toiletries, household and kitchen stuffs, time saving devices, computer parts, electronics, toys, designer clothing, personal items, and hard-to-find items in the Philippines. A Balikbayan Box comes in different sizes. Regular size is 23 x 17 x 20 inches; Medium is 24 x 18 x 24 inches; Jumbo is 30 x 20 x 20 inches.

If ever you need to buy shipping boxes, moving boxes, used boxes or custom made Balikbayan boxes in case you are sending many items to Philippines or if you are sending to different destinations — just login to Eco Box. They have extensive selection of corrugated/cardboard boxes for storage, heavy duty moving and more.

Magandang umaga po! I know all too well about the balikbayon boxes as I have relatives in Metro Manilla (BF Homes), outside Zamboanga, and Davao still. They are always asking me to help them find certain items (even with the internet up and running as efficiently as it has). I still send them things like Pringles Potato Chips (US Version they like better), LCD monitors (much cheaper here [i.e Dell 22" monitor for $319.99 with purchase of a desktop]) and of course spices so they can make chicken that tastes like Popeyes since they only have KFC there. If there’s anything I miss from PI, it’s going to Wally Burger and getting Macapuno Ice Cream on the stand on a roll. Mmm ng tasy mo! Hindi po.
