I can’t remember when the last time I indulge myself to heat bathing. But what I remember is that I always enjoy relaxing in saunas usually before submitting myself for a body massage or body scrub in a SPA. The sauna experience often leaves me the feeling of very much alive. I can feel that my senses are sharpened, and my physical sensitivity heightened.
What is a SAUNA?
“A sauna is a small room or house designed as a place to experience dry or wet heat sessions, or an establishment with one or more of these and auxiliary facilities. These facilities derive from the Finnish sauna. The word sauna is also used metaphorically to describe an unusually hot or humid environment.” – (source: Wikipedia)
Saunas have been known for a very long time that helps to relax and improve one’s overall health, and promote well being. Until now, saunas are available in public or private health clubs, spas or resorts. Or, some have built in home sauna right in their private abode.
Many people can testify to the healing powers of the sauna especially as to mental depression and anxiety. They say that after leaving the sauna, their mind is usually relaxed, clear state, and free of worries of everyday’s world. I do agree. See, when the body feels soothed and energized the mind and emotions often follow.
