Living In A Studio

Living in a studio-type unit is very popular among college students and young professionals because of the convenience and privacy that it offers. However, its limited space ranging from 20 – 30 square meters, gives a different challenge in terms of space planning and design.

Here are some practical ideas to help make the most of your studio unit:

Less Is More – rather than a buying a separate sofa and bed choose for day beds where you can convert it from a bed to a seating area during the day.

Get Organized - Use bookshelves and wall-hung cabinets to free up your floor area. Make the most of the storage space by keeping your things into smaller compartments using trays, boxes, baskets and containers.

The Smaller, The Better – Downsize everything from cabinets, home furnishings and decor down to the appliances. Opt for smaller furnitures that can fit your limited space to meet your other personal needs.
