A New Beginning

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA I always embrace change. Whenever a chapter of my life closes, I look forward to the next. Some endings certainly bring about change and how change affects us depends on how we accept it.

For parents who are currently in the middle of crisis in sending their loved ones to drug treatment centers, I know it is not easy surrendering your child for drug treatment. I feel you for I myself is a parent too. But the bad habit, the addiction has to end. Just bear the sacrifices for you to be able to see good results.

To paraphrase the lines of an old Randy Crawford song: “If you’re not afraid of what life brings, then endings are beginnings of beautiful things.”

Vigan

Talking about travel, so far, Baguio City I think is the farthest place that I have traveled in the northern part of the Philippines. I am still wishing that someday I could have the chance to visit places in Ilocos Sur and Norte. I  would like to tour Vigan specifically.

Why Vigan? It is because Vigan is the only surviving colonial town in the entire Philippines with more than 180 ancestral houses, administrative and religious structures, public squares and other historical landmarks within the poblacion. I’d like to see those structures built during the 18th and 19th centuries. However, I wonder if Vigan still have existing historic hotels available for tourist to stay on.

Place To Escape

If only money flows easily to a single mom like me, then perhaps every weekend you will always find me in a spa clinic – pampered.

Well, who would not like the few hours of escape?

I like the soothing scents, the muted overhead lamps and the relaxing sounds that fill the atmosphere of a health spa. The place that I use to go, back in Iligan City, their private room is adorned with fashionable table lamps and floor lamps. The elegance in the choices of lamps adds coolness of the place.

Indulging myself in a spa occasionally, always refreshes, de-stresses, and eases my mind and let my spirit soar – even for a while.

Sa Mga Gustong Magka-syota

May naalala ako nung katatapos lang ng Balentayms 2009 ay may nag-pm sa akin…at nanghihingi ng payo. Binalikan ko ang log ng pag-uusap namin at yung pag-aastang relationship expert/margie holmes/love guru/ o simpleng pagmamarunong ko sa araw na yun.

Hindi ko maiwasan ang mangiti habang binabasa ang mga pinagsasagot ko. Taena! Take note, normal-normalan ang lola nyo sa mga adbayses nya. Kaloka! Eh kasi naman ewan ko ba at sa dinami-dami ng pagtatanungan, ay ako pa ang tinanong ng tungkol sa lablayp.

Ang iksi naman ng summer ngayon, pakiramdam ko July na agad. Panay ulan. Amp! Natawa tuloy ako dun sa pinadalang SMS sa akin kanina ng masipag kong supplier ng SMS jokes na si Mike.  Eto yun:
