Talking about travel, so far, Baguio City I think is the farthest place that I have traveled in the northern part of the Philippines. I am still wishing that someday I could have the chance to visit places in Ilocos Sur and Norte. I would like to tour Vigan specifically.
Why Vigan? It is because Vigan is the only surviving colonial town in the entire Philippines with more than 180 ancestral houses, administrative and religious structures, public squares and other historical landmarks within the poblacion. I’d like to see those structures built during the 18th and 19th centuries. However, I wonder if Vigan still have existing historic hotels available for tourist to stay on.
