It is middle of 2009 already. I wonder how the Cebu furniture exporters are doing now. Since last year, the local industry was challenge when the global economic crisis hit their number one market – the United States of America. The crisis has laid-off thousands of factory workers and even resulted to closure of some small-scale furniture companies. Cebu’s furniture makers have already gained world fame because of their unique, awesome quality designs of office furniture, bed, chair and other home furnishings. Well, I just hope that they recover before the year-end.
