I was horrified when I saw the last night TV news regarding a 20-year old guy torturing her 5-year-old niece, physically hitting the poor girl until she turned black and blue. So pity that you can hardly recognize the kid’s face anymore. Really, no man in his right mind would do such cruelty to a frail and defenseless child. The uncle is unquestionably sick, a drug addict and needs thorough drug rehabilitation.
Drug addiction, as victims would describe it: Is just like going through the motions where they don’t know how to stop; they couldn’t stop even if they wanted to stop. It’s like they are on automatic pilot, they’re up, there’s smoke, just like that.
Some drug dependents want to break that dependence cycle but a lot of times they really don’t know where to start on how to break the bad habit.

"Oh she takes care of herself. She can wait if she wants. She's ahead of her time. Oh and she never gives out. And she never gives in. She just changes her mind..."
