Make Life Easier

As a solo parent of two teenagers, I have a hectic schedule of doing the house chores alone that is why I make use of whatever extra time I have to organize the household – be it just 20 or 30 minutes.

I usually do one or two small task before I go to bed. I do things like straightening throw pillows scattered in the living room, returning DVDs to their cases, or sorting out the contents of lockers or storage cabinets. I am able to keep this as a routine since I don’t have a house helper with me. I see to it that everything is in proper place in our wood lockers to make our things easier to find that is why it is important too that the lockers have many compartments and shelves. Organizing a cabinet or locker is a challenge, but you can do it if you organize your thoughts before you act.

Buhay Single-Parent

I’m still down with lagnat.

Last week, 4 days down with fever si Kevin ko.

Wala akong ka-reliyebo kumbaga.

Wash Up!

You probably don’t remember this, but wash day used to mean carrying your clothes off to the river, scrubbing them in a batya (laundry basin) for half a day, then beating the life out of them with a pantuktok (paddle) to get the suds and the stubborn traces of sweat and dirt out.

Pillow Talk

For me, a house without decorative throw pillows in its home furnishing is dull and boring. Adding decorative throw pillows in living spaces and bedrooms will never go out of style.
