Due to the skyrocketing prices from school tuition and groceries to housing and utilities here in the Philippines, the growing pressure to provide for a family is always one of the main reason why many Filipinos still seek for greener pastures abroad. The increasing number of overseas Filipino workers leaving families back home is something we should accept as part of the changes in our culture and society. Let’s face it, we have changed. Let’s accept that this has become a trend and we cannot get away from it. Call this globalization also.
